Any turbo needs higher rpms before you'll notice it kick in BUT in your case, it's the AWD that's robbing HP as with that added drag the AWDs are definately slower than 2WD turbo cars. You're giving up HP for added traction.
Doing the IPD mods (ECU, lower restriction exhaust, etc) will help BUT it will never be as fast as a similar 2WD turbo car, same mods.
