Found it, old PN 850 1997

I don't know how old they are. The dealer service guy gave me the impression that they were fairly new. The part number for the shims is 272272-6 (called Service Kit) List price $10.64.

Regarding the arrow, I put the arrow in the direction of rotor rotation, which would be down. I was assuming that the "leading edge" of the pad would be the one with the cut-away portion of the shim. The thought being that would soften the initial contact.
