lousy AM reception S80 2001

I had lousy FM and AM reception on my 99 S80. Went around and around with both Volvo and the dealership on this.
The S80 has a signal booster back in the trunk, you can find it by following the antenna coax.
I had this replaced and the reception is excellent. Took about one month of trouble to resolve. Typical for this car.
