Control arm failure 850

That kind of money is absurd. Buy the Haynes manual, a 101 Craftsman tool set, one complete set of Allen wrenches, floor jack, and jack stands. The great thing about these Sedish cars built with the highest quality German parts is that disassembly when making repairs is simple; these cars do not corrode and waste away like so many others. Alright, I'm off the soap-box. We bought an 850 GLT wagon last Jan.. A '95 with 82k at the time. We safety checked the car at a Madison WI. Volvo/ Toyota dealership. It checked out fine but they recommended the same as your situation. Then, it supposedly needed every service under the sun for just less than $3000!!??!!?? I've been going through the car my self replacing stuff. Now, I know the work is done to my specs.,to my preferences, and at my price. Have fun
