Update:
July 2002,(81K mi) Trans fluid was flushed/replaced (after 7K miles since mid 2001), and trans cooler lines were blown w/no obstruction found. Standard trans fluid was used.
Clunking and hesitation returned during moderate driving two days after replacement; sporadic occurence since then, no pattern.
Everyone is stumped except to say "something is going in the trans"
I am ready to try a synthetic ATF, which dealer and independent shop do not recommend.
Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome.
