Cars have ALL had electronic ignition for at least 25 yrs now, so you're already A-OK.
I think you mean that your car needs new ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor (not a new distributor, no need as there's nothing else to it).....basic maintenance items and rarely needed (like maybe every 125K miles) and not a big deal. No need to convert anything.
