Adding/programming new Key Fob Remote 1998

Your car will accept 3 remotes. Unfortunately, the Volvo scan tool and a PIN code are required to program 98 model year remotes. Yhe pin code is accessed by the dealer on the volvo database, the scan tool is conected to the diagnostic link, lock/alarm system accessed, pin code entered, then push button on remote. This procedure is for 98's only. 93-97 can be programmed by anyone with a thumb and forefinger. 99 and newer require software download.
