Cross Drilled Rotors

I would be weary of purchasing the cross-drilled with PBR pads. I own a '97 850R wagon and replaced my brakes about 4 months ago. I actually had the PBR pads from the previous owner, and they caused more harm than good. Sure, the dust on the pads are less, but they are harder and develop a grinding sound upon stopping. It sounds like the brakes on a Boeing 747. I went with the texstar pads (very dusty) from www.alloemvolvoparts.com, and they have incredible stopping power, and very smooth. I recommend them although dusty.

The crossed-drilled look VERY cool, but are prone to warping. I bought my set of 4 rotors from a seperate company listed in www.volvotuning.com. They were slotted and inverse-dimpled to look like they are drilled. They look cool, and stop very well, but now they show signs of warpage, and I am easy on my brakes. I don't push it.

Go with oem rotors and texstar pads. Its the best solution.

Good Luck,
Anton
