I did not like the Bay 13 fix because it bends a cast metal piece and pushes on the wiper mechanism.
After checking the wiper arm mounting nut for proper tightness, I just applied a slight bend to the narrowest part of the arm. This portion is steel and would be much more forgiving should you bend it too much. This method does not put any force on the rest of the wiper mechanism, and has much better geometry as well.
I bent the arm almost a year ago and the problem has not returned.
(You should see what I do to repair 740 wiper arms that slip!)
