The Amplifier is built into the Radio unlees you have an external Amp, this would be attached to a cable leading from the back of the amp. Some 850 are pre wired for amps. the amp would be installed in rear trunk in sedan behind the covering beside the power antenna. It could also be located somewhere by the passeger kick panel below the radio. If you do not have a cable from the radio you do not have a external amp. To do a neat install of the cd in glove box you will have to drill a hole in the glove box. To do this properly you will need to take out glove box. If you still want to do the job let me know I will guide you through it. I had my changer in my glove box and I sold it. I will take a bout 25 minutes start to finish to do a really neat installation. I have an etra cable for the cd player, an extra glove box insert with hole drilled. if you are interested.
