If you have the big rubber thing on your key, yes! On your model with the immobilizer, it will run and shut off if the key isn't recognised. If this is the case, the antenna ring or the B+ cable could be at fault. The antenna ring is the ring aroung your ignition which communicates with the chip in your key. The B+ cable runs from your positive terminal to the main fuse box under the hood. Those get burnt up a lot, only at the fuse box end.
