Doooonnn't!!! 850

From melted reflectors to cracked lenses to melted connectors....you don't want to do it. Incandescent and halogen lights are heating units that produce light as a by-product. And a 90% increase in heat isn't what you want.

What are you expecting your foglights to do? A foglight by design produces an even bath of light 50' feet from the car, with as close to a 180-degree radius as possible for around the corner lighting at night. They have a hard cutoff so at night they shine under the fog and mist without causing back-glare. The lighting is supplemental at night, they make excellent DRLs.

If you feel your 850's lighting is too weak, order e-code lenses - a lot more light on the road. Put the best output halogens you can behind them (http://www.autolamps-online.com) - more light, not heat. You can get 30# or more light from stock wattage, no additional heat.

If you're looking to get better foglight output: go to autolamps-online.com and order the best halogens available. And aim your lights a *little* higher if necessary. Or go to the susquehanna motorsports site and order the awesome Hella MicroDE foglights - the best halogen foglight on the market. They're 2" round projectors so they'll fit nicely in the 850 airdam once you figure out how to mount them.
