6 cd changer not working 850

My 6 disc factory fitted changer has done this twice in the past year, and has happened to someone else I know.

Can you eject the cd cassette from the changer unit?

If not, remove the changer, take casing off, and you can manually eject the cassette, complete with cd's and re-install, than all's fine. Or, you may need to carefully push a cd back into cassette before ejecting, depending if it was playing when problem occurred.
