15k is nothing, even if it was beat up a bit as long as the engine was broken in properly. and since that car has a manual tranny, it should be less of a worry. with my personal experience though, I would be worried about the longevity of the clutch. If you are really worried about it though, get yourself a used 98-99 T5 like you said, but make sure you get the manual trans, you'll love it. One other thing, manual trans s70's are a bit hard to come by, so this might be a good deal for you, and hey, this car is already chipped!
