Starting problems 850 1989

I have 850 1992, 230K Km and had the same problem several times, found out it was related to how much gas I had in my tank. I almost ran out of gas, then filled her almost all the way up and the very next day I could not start her. This repeated several times, so I changed the fuel filter. It has been ok ever since, about 3 months.
