The connector you are looking at is for the trailer wiring. Volvo will sell you a harness, there are two problems. One is that it is quite expensive and the other is that it terminates with an odd round european plug with round pins. Volvo will sell an adapter to go to a 4 pin standard harness, although they do not offer a converter for a 5 or 7 pin North American style plug. This harness also does not allow for electric brakes, which volvo recommends over certain weights (I believe it's 2200lbs). I purchased this harness and returned it since I needed charging and electric brakes capabilties for my tent trailer.
