No, I have not compared performance difference between a 2001 and 2002 model, but I am goind to the dealer on saturday and ask some questions to the techs there. I changed dealers and the new guys are very informative. I will let you know their opinion.

Also I have a question for you given that you have the same car as I do, is the engine supposed to move not even on hard acceleration? Mine moves and makes a screatching anoying sound. They replaced the upper engine mount bushing, but the engine still moves. Do I have something loose or is it normal? Maybe the front bottom engine mount?
