Sounds like you have AWD. Different calipers, no pins. There are 2 sets of bolts on the caliper. 2 That are closest to the outside edge of the caliper are for replacing brake pads. Remove the top screw, compress the piston slightly with channel lock pliers, then fold the outer half of the caliper down and away from the inner half to expose the pads. You can remove both screws if you want and slip the outer half of the caliper off. Volvo OEM pads include new bolts for calipers.
