How do you access the "check engine" codes and then clear them?

When I bought the car, I was told it had been tested and it was the 02 sensor bad. Then I found out there are 2 sensors. Would like to be able to replace correct one and then reset the code.

Thanks for any help. Demo software looks very confusing.................
