Clattering in RH wheel well 850 1995

I have the exact same symptom on a '95 850, so I'm interested in diagnostics also.

John H - Your reply to the suggestion about strut mounts was ambiguous. Did you mean that they looked OK, or that they were the problem? How did you do the checking, either way?
