Help with Keyless Entry 850 1997

The keyless entry on my 97 850 GLT wagon is screwed up.

I changed the batteries and reprogrammed the unit. It will lock the doors, but it won't unlock them. When I press the "unlock" button, the doors lock again. The alarm does work but it is really, really weak. Any suggestions? Do I just need a new keyless remote unit or do you think there is another problem? Also, any suggestions for a place to buy a new remote (besides the dealer or Ebay)?
