I've had the same problem with my '95 855T. (ABS light and stuck in park) Rather than wiggling the key, I found that if I slowly rotated the key about an 1/8th of an inch counter clockwise, the light goes out an the shift lock unlocks. I find that I now do it now every time out of habit. I've always thought of it as an additional "anti-theft" device.
