Tirerack 850 1996

I'll vouch for Tirerack. I bought my 850s tires through them and my parents tires also. Always great service and fast shipping. In the latest Motor Trend rag they're advertising a set of new 15" steel wheels with covers and snow tires (Blizzaks? Don't recall which) for around $450.

Take a hint from the FIA Rally drivers. When you're running in snow, run a narrow tire. Don't go 215, 225 etc. The smaller the tires contact patch the more weight concentrated on that patch. I don't live in the snow belt anymore (was in Michigan) but if I did I'd look for 15" 195s on steel wheels for my 850. Why steel? If you slide into or hit a curb or other immovable object, you'd rather a wheel bend than break.

Good luck.
