The need for strut and tie rod end replacement is a rare thing even at double that milage in your year/model. Sway bar links last about 40-60K, depending on how hard you corner. A couple of questions come to mind, were these replaced because of something you noticed or something the dealer found, techs at dealers tend to be proactive and replace componants which are marginal if the car is still under warranty, if it was customer pay they most likely would leave it alone unless the cust had a complaint related to the part. Most of the tie rod ends we've done were eithe due to driving with and unbalanced tire, or the cust hitting a curb. When one strut needs replacement it's usually due to being defective causing it to leak. The struts volvo uses last a very long time! The onely ones we've done where I work were the result of a crash!!
