Fluid change rehash again for the newbies. (which I am ) 850 1995

You are correct about the metal clip of the tranny hose. The new clip has to go into the tranny hose FIRST then snap the tranny hose into the radiator. I also bought new clips, o-rings, and seals rings when I replaced my radiator. I used the lower tranny hose to flush my tranny. Therefore, no need to touch the metal clips. It was a bit more work including battery and lower tranny hose removal from the tranny itself. Otherwise, the flush process is identical to yours. BTW, I drained the old tranny fluid from the pan first before I started the flush.

Thanks,
