One can look........... 850 1994

A person can pull back the carpet to the R of the gas pedal, remove the plastic cover and then see the lower heater core housing and the two pipes that go to/from it. If there's still any doubts at that time, a pressure tester should be used as if there's a leak, it'll leak under pressure.
Replacing the heater core is not a bad job and can be done w/o removing the dash.
