The problem is for a relatively higher priced, supposedly higher quality car than the usual american counter part you would expect little additional out of pocket expense for failures ESPECIALLY in the 1st 3 to 4 years of a cars life.
and its not just the cost--its all the time and agravation that has no price other than causing you to loose your mind. In general I as well have been disappointed in the newer volvo's quality/reliablity from say 95 on up! I know of several Toyota owners who basically forgot how to find the dealer they bought from as they never went back for anything in 4 to 5 years!!!! I'm fortunate that I do 90% of repairs/maintanence myself. The non-mechanical guys are tak'in a "porkin"!
