Power Steering Rack C70 1999

Hi again,

I took my car to the shop, because I noticed that the bottom was leaking PS fluid when I turn the wheel completely to either the right or left (it doesn't leak if the wheel is straight or slightly turned). The technician told me that the rack & pinion is broken and I would need that replaced.

He quoted me a price of $350 + tax for the complete repair. Could this be correct, since I was looking at Brickboard and most people had theirs fixed for around $1000.00. Is this the whole rack replacement or is he just replacing a part on the rack? Please advise.
