front wheel bearings.

Shure- loosen the nut in center of hub torque to xx nm and then torque additional xx degrese ( i do not have the workshopmanual here - but will finde the xx values and post them)

Lets hope that the bearings are not mounted wrong (eg the bearing is pressed in by aplying force to inner race of bearing - then it will fail soon)

What are the symptons when you say the bearing fail - it could be something else.

The bearings on the S/V 40 are quite well dimentioned (same size as on the new S/V 70) they are of SKF origin and wery reliable so something is done wrong when instaling that bearing i am shure.

When pressing the bearing in you should only apply force to outer part of bearing - if you apply force to inner race the force is transmittid thru the rollers and the bearing is damaged and will fail soon - but any well trained mecanic should know that.
