The dealer is BSing you....they know about the problem with the AW5, and they know Volvo says to flush with the Volvo branded($$$) synthetic ATF. I had a slight shudder at lock up in 4 gear in my AW4, and the trans was flushed under warranty...I think it would have been like $250 just in ATF alone if I would have had to pay.....but anyhow the dam thing NEVER in 30K mi. shifted better!
