I think I actually did the math on this at one point, the 850-70 Volvo doesn't depreciate much worse than the BMW 328i, using "street price" not "sticker price". See "Opinions" although the thread probably dropped off by now.
Before buying a used Volvo I'd have someone go over it carefully, or else only buy it if the price reflected the more common repairs. So far you're averaging ($600+$80+$350/10) about $100 month in repairs.
You may be able to "top up" the AC at the beginning of each season.
That's vs. $850/month to lease a new BMW 745i, I think it's more rational to keep repairing an old Volvo.
You can always buy 3M black electrical tape to put over the warning lights if they bother you.
