Not sure it it changed in later years, but on my 1998 I can just pop out the bulb from the holder once the inside cover from the trunk lid is removed.

Do you see anything when you turn on the lights and look inside the trunk lid? (look at the one that's still working) Or use a flashlight?

My 2000 model is a V40, so I can't check there unfortunately..
