u need to remove the abs bracket, cut off that extended piece, (sand/paint to prevent rust, or just paint), and put it back on top of the ipd brace. u'll also need to have the front of the car jacked up to preload the bar.

the instructions are pretty clear from ipd. it even has a simple diagram on the back that shows where u need to cut it.
