Your dealer is BSing you.....just read your owners manual. If the TRACS/STC light on the dash "flashes" it indicates that the system is in operation, but if the "up arrow" is flashing there is a fault(and is NOT normal), and thats why the trans goes into "limp home" mode. This could be caused by the low temps effect on the PNP switch.
