courtesy lights 850 1997

I have noticed that my courtesy lights do not operate (though reading lights ok)
and door ajar warning is also not working on my 97 850. I have checked the
fuses and they appear ok. Even replaced #15 10amp fuse anyway. Anyone know
how this feature works? Basic troubleshooting would help this novice.. Thnx!
