No filter and don't flush. If you're inclined to DIY, follow the Bay 13 instructions to just change the fluid. Takes 30 mins, 45 if you're being carefull or if it's the first time.

You'll need a section of clear tubing that can be bought at a hardware store and I ended up using about 14 quarts of ATF.
