A time period of a month in itself doesn't tell us much as some people can drive many miles in one month (or two?).
The best indication is qt per miles. How many miles does it take to go from the full mark to needing 1 qt? If unsure, you should start writing that down and keep a close eye on the oil level.
FYI, an older high mileage turbo engine might consume (burn) 1 qt per 1000 miles and that in itself wouldn't be unusual. If you're burning 1 qt in 500 miles, then something needs attention and it'd most likely be bad rings if the engine was ever seriously overheated (blown radiator or stuck closed t-stat for a long time).
If it's about 1 qt per 1000 miles, adding an occasional qt is far cheaper than serious engine repair.
