I've never really dumped a drink and flooded the area (to my knowledge) but as you know the cup holders are just above and I'm sure the condensation and moisture over the years have taken their toll.

Just to clarify...["The switches aren't available seperately, it's a switch assembly"]

Do you mean that they aren't easy to get apart once removed from the console to clean the electrical contacts? I was hoping perhaps this was a dirty vs. a bad switch situation.
