My 96 850 has the small pyramid mid dash and the red light flashes when armed, either way with or without remote. Quick check roll down drivers window, lock the doors with your key, unlock the door through the window, open door if alarm goes off then you should be able to buy the remotes. Check EBAY for price before going to dealer. I bought one from the dealer, $125. Went home went to ebay and picked one up for $25. Easy to self program.
