Typical of Volvo's 5cyl 850 1995

If this is not a turbo engine, you could have a clogged flame trap which would cause crankcase pressures to rise and the first way it may manifest itself is leakage around the oil fill cap. I believe Volvospeed.com has something about flame trap replacement on it's Bay 13 maintenance section. It's a $2-$4 fix that can save you a bigger repair later should a seal blow out.
