Global cooling? 850 1995

After last year's winter (or lack of a winter) I think everyone's gotten spoiled. I don't think Volvo ever offered that double-insulated glass that's so popular in chilly Europe in the US, even in Minnesota.

It's COLD now!

1.) You say your thermostat's already been changed. Was there any change from the original thermostat? I'd think the odds of a bad thermostat being replaced by another bad thermostat are pretty low. Posible but low.

2.) Does the temp gauge still read on the low side. Not completely cold, but lower than usual? So does mine. I'm wondering about that big aluminum heat sink in the front of the car.

3.)If you have the automatic climate control, do you have it cranked up a few notches? If it's on MAX, the thrermostat's OK and the air vents are adjusted appropriately (there are several pages of instructions about the climate control in the owner's manual) and you're still cold, I'd wonder about a servo motor. There might be some codes in your ACC computer.

I have my fresh air vents shut completely right now.

Anyway, it's supposed to warm up this weekend.
