Here on the west coast of Ireland, the temprature rarely goes below freezing. However, my temprature guage would not go above the "5 o'clock" position while driving on the open road. It would go to the normal "3 o'clock" position while in very slow moving town traffic. I replaced the thermostat and ever since, it's roasty toasty.
