Heated Side mirrors - not working 850 1996

Same problem with mine -- I have power to the leads when the switch is turned on (14.6 VDC), but not operational. I took the mirrors off, cleaned the contacts to remove oxidation and checked resistance. I did get some, but probably not enough ( The meter did not read an open circuit) Reinstalled, but to no avail. Since it's a DC circuit, maybe I conntected the wires wrong, but I don't think it matters.

Where can you get these for $30.00? My dealer wants $45 for drivers and $55 for passenger.
