warranty on engine replacement?

I have a 2000 V70 XC w/ 40,200 miles. Had issues with the engine & Volvo replaced it. I'm not sure how the warranty works. Will the warranty on the new engine run out at the end of the 4year/ 50,000 mile factory warranty on the car, or will the engine have it's own warranty?
