Do you know any firefighters?
Most fire departments now have relatively sensitive carbon monoxide meters.
A couple of years ago, I was investigating an odor but found none. I dropped the CO meter on the seat of my cruiser and was collecting information for my report. The CO meter went into alarm. I noted that there was a slight wind from the rear of my car toward the front. I checked my car for the rest of the day and had no problems. I suspect that the tailwind caused the alarm.
