I don't think the question was how much an insurance company would give this person if his car was a total loss. I wouldn't use what an insurance would pay as any barometer of value. All I'm saying is that with Volvo corporate's subsidizing lease payments on new ones, three year old off-lease Volvos are a dime a dozen, especially the old body style S70. $14K may have been a good price on a '97 T5 two or three years ago but not now. Just my opinion.
