Not tooooo scary if you lease the car or buy the 100k extended warranty and get rid of it just before it expires!

It's not just Volvo, of course. I think reading BMW 745i stories is more frightening than Steven King novels.

Only way out of this, IMO is not to buy cars where all these electronic gizmos ever FAIL!

Honda and Toyota are two names that come to mind.

BTW our local neighborhood garage can and has worked on wife's '01 Honda, but can't work on my Volvo, and it's over 5 years old!
