to get a code for your radio you need to pull it out. There are two small retangle clips either side of radio. Push them in and they will pop out. Grasp them and pull out the radio. On top of the radio there will be a part number (it will be seven digits long..example 3533711) and under that there will be a serial number starting with a letter like a "v" or something. Any volvo dealer will be able to take these two pieces of information and give you the code for that radio. Sometimes the VIN number on the car will not work because it is very easy to swap radios at a dealership. I know, I used to do it all of the time with I was a lotboy many moons ago.
