This is a V70 problem across the board. I would recommend that everyone who owns a V70 contact their, or any dealer, or Volvo directly and put them on notice. My wife's car was with the dealer for another issue, which will be posted on the XC board and is worth reading in about 2 hours. I got Volvo to capitualte and give me what I wanted. When it was with the dealer, they left it ouit in the sun here in Melbourne, mostly 30 degree celcius plus days for about 2 weeks. This caused the bubbles to appear.
The factory has given a four year warranty, they say from manufacture, but thye dealers will honour from delivery. Ours was around for a year before it was delivered. Anyway, the hot sun exaserbated and accelerated the problem. All four doors were bady bubbled. If anyone is interested I have pics and can email.
The problem as desxcribed to me, and of course Volvo ALWAYS has an ange is that they are a very environmentally aware organisation and that the glue that they used in 1997, 1998 and 1999 was very good to the environment, but in Australian type climates it came unstuck.
I am getting new ones put on in 10 days, not repaired, new door trims. Also, the headlining, if it was vinyl did this as well.
Cheers
