Power steering 850 1997

I have the same noises, especially when cold.
I hope that a fluid change would be enough, but I fear not.
Drive axle boots can break making CV joints wear down. True?
If so, would this mean entire drive axle replacement, or just CV joints: how big a job??
Any input appreciated. I'm going to search archives now
